This site hosts the Phoenix Sacred Harp, Shape note singers.  We are a group of individuals with a passion for this early American art form.  We meet twice per month, on the first and second Saturday afternoons.  The first Saturday we will drive down to Tucson to meet with the singers there . We will leave Tempe at 11:30 in the morning.  Sings there begin at 2 PM and go until 5.  We have room to take two people with us if you need a ride.  The second sing will be at the Garrett house here in Tempe.  This is the sing where we practice, take time to learn music and enjoy refreshments.  And, we Sing as much as we can.  

We meet to sing traditional Shape Note Music.  Our primary source is the 1991 Sacred Harp songbook Denison edition.  We also have access to the White and Cooper books.  We have loaner books available.  All are welcome to join us.  Prior experience is not needed.
